Variable fillet and control point alignment

Hi all! I have one more question,

I'm trying a variable fillet on a circle, or let's say a loop and I'd need to align the control points with a plane or a sketch or something. Any idea ?

Thank you:)

I tried to master the image and failed. it was a hundred times too big:D

Hello

Probably some interesting information here:

Hello

What if you connect your two poinsts with construction strokes and you make this stroke parallel to the axis or plane of symmetry?

FilletXpert is probably suitable for these leaves:

If you click on your points so 2 points you put them in horizontal or vertical  via the constraints

It should work I think

or you create a plane passing through the axis of your piece and you create points that are in coincidence with your points

So after a sketch I can actually line up points on it, that's great, thank you.

Even if apparently 6/40 mm doesn't work^^

Now the problem comes from the leave itself which is not symmetrical left/right, I don't know filletexpert very well, could it equalize the leave?

In theory you should be able to create as many points as you want

So try to align your points and put at least 4 in coix

vertical alignment for 2 and horizontal alignment for the other two

these 4 points you can define the radius of the leave of each point

and they will connect neatly with the other rays

mmmh it's not crazy yet. I don't have the right values...

And anyway the function doesn't want to apply, I think I'm just going to give up and put a leave not variable :)

As you want, it's up to you

what version are you in SW?

In 2015, the 2016 is better off during the holidays?

FYI I just tested to pass the variable leave under inventor and it went smoothly... a little disappointed with Solid on this one.

I don't understand in theory and in practice it works very well

you must have omitted something

and as you are in 2015

I can't see your file

otherwise I would have tried I stayed under SW 2012

thank you anyway:)

Out of curiosity you stay in 2012 for what reason?

because I find that SW 2012 premium works very well for my needs ;-)

and the new annual version does not bring much evolution

and I'm thinking of + and + going for OnShape given the EADS sales policy for SW

there you know everything ,-)

Yes I discovered OnShape recently, I didn't test all the possibilities but it's promising!

See you and thank you!
