Hello
If there is only one tangent line between the 2 shapes, SolidWorks will not be able to link the 2 bodies ( Combine - Add function).
You have to put a little bit of material between the 2 shapes, even a few 1/10.
Or you take the sketch of one of the objects (the 2), so that it arrives full matter in object 1.
Either you make a sketch on object 2 (face towards object 1) and you extend to object 1. And by keeping the result merged, you will get 1 volume.
otherwise solution from alain.erp.
my colleagues started with the idea that your 2 objects were modeled in a single SW part file (in which case their solution is the right one)?
Are you good on Solidworks?
Are your objects in a single part file?
What type of junctions do you want to create between the 2 objects? For what purpose?
