If I understand correctly, the Xeon E5-4627 v4 would not  be suitable in view of its frequency?

Where could I see the mini specs of Solidworks or that would allow it to work well?

Good evening, your config looks like a graphic designer's pc more than a designer's, so if you want to do rendering and then image processing with software from the adobe suite type in the 128 of ram

for solidworks only 64G recommend and emulation from virtual to 128G

I recommend 2 ssds  (256GB mini) 1 system and 1 for projects and library (partitioned is better)

The 3rd HDD 7200 to store data or simple backup

processor an i7 is enough but the more expensive xeon brings stability as long as it's higher than 3.4Gh 

Solidworkks works on a body so the higher the frequency the better it is

graphics card the M5000 is really for designers and does not bring much more than an M4000 on the other hand on nvidia the 5000 is given for linux??? Pay attention to this detail because there must be different version

the HP ZR 2740w or 2440w screens are excellent
I love the USB sockets on the screen and moreover rotatable
The IIYAMA / Dell screens too and many other brands
2 screens is nicer to work
and I agree with @ Gerald's words ;-)
for SW 3D design you need a proc that runs fast mono core is enough
for SW the more you go up in milesime + you need ram
for the renderings you need cores galore
and certified graphics card
for the simulates a maximum of cores and the logs that go with it 
look at HP the recommendations according to the choice of log sw it will give you an idea of the thing
I gave you X links so you have enough in theory to have some data and  information that I think hold up
you want a pro pc made to work 24 hours a day, take pro gear
+ render the simulated

I was able to understand a lot of points:

- I need a processor that clocks at max

-Maximum RAM

-A dual procesor configuration

-A graphics card with a maximum of GB "2000 components"

For the graphics card my choice is for the M5000 because I will do design, simulation on Soliworks and also simulation on Ansys (with a colleague who knows both software).

M5000 runs on Windows and Linux if I'm not talking nonsense Gérald.

 

For the choice of processor(s), I am very undecided because not a specialist:

What is better? 

2 processors with less clock rates than 3.4GHz but with more "core" or 2 big processors with less "core"?

Budget-wise I don't want to exceed 4000 euros for the two procedents...

 

I based myself on the HPZ840 PC which seems to be a reference for solidworks. (tell me if I'm wrong???)

I tested a Xeon Bi Proc (the old HP 6200) and I didn't find a transcendent valuation for Solidworks. 

I'm on a Z440 station and frankly at the base price with improvements in ram and ssd it's a very good machine.

If you have the budget that can do the most can do it 

I went through Axemble for the purchase of my second machine and I admit that they have very good prices on their premium config

Let's say that I really don't want to be restricted on the software I'm going to use, whether it's solidworks which suibs the information given in the docs, dual CPU advice with a maximum of core, or Ansys which will also ask me I think a big machine for CFD...

Would 128Gb of Ram be suitable for Solidworks 2016 -2017...?

 

For the screen I would go for HP Z32X Pro display or the one that would come out at the time of my purchase.

What is your GT22 configuration?

Thank you for your speed GT22. So what is your version of windows?

According to Asus, which I just got an answer to, Windows 10 would not be compatible with the following dual CPU motherboard:

For working comfort, do you recommend two screens instead?

The advantage is that some of your tools are  located directly on the left hand larger screen

and of course the rotation of zoom views etc......................... all this with the left hand

The screens yes 2 is an undeniable +........................... 24 / 27 or 32 inches ;-)

256 is enough for SSD

operates and log and SW product library

To be greedy another SSD 256

for the storage of work parts (work-in-progress and frequently used parts)

After the storage DDs it's as you feel

By chance there would be a comparison of the most used graphics cards for solidworks.

I'm trying to understand the difference between the Nvidia M4000 and M5000 (which I'm interested in).

Good evening John, I just remarked something in the specs of SW 2017, there would be multicor management.

M4000/M5000 I know that the 5000 is very used by graphic designers so you must have a better display for example with edrawing, which to tell the truth is a disaster with a 2000

but to say more I haven't looked into the subject

Thank you again for your answers Gérald and GT22 and I haven't seen this most important information for my future workstation.

I did some more research to be the most suitable between solidworks and Ansys and some other software and will publish the final setup that I will do very soon.
