Constraints to Inserting a Part into an Assembly

Hi all

I have a memory gap! I don't remember the commands to quickly constrain a part in an assembly when inserting it without going through the constraint menu (automatic detection)?

thank you in advance to all

Using constraint references.
You create them from your piece to be inserted.

Hello;
Otherwise the keyboard shortcut is the " ALT " key (before sliding to...), possibly associated with the " TAB " key to return the constraints...

Hello @Maclane,

thank you that's what I was looking for but it doesn't seem to work on my computer isn't there an option or something to activate?

Thanks in advance

Hello;

Normally nothing to activate. You just have to try by selecting an edge rather than a face, sometimes it works better... and the ideal is to have created " SmartMates " on the object to be constrained (most often a library component...)

Kind regards.
