Converting Solid Bodies to Welded Parts in Solidworks

Hi all

I work a lot in sheet metal. So I have a piece composed of volumetric bodies (inserted crimped studs). In the drawing, it is impossible to make them appear with a BOM table. I am told that I have to go through a table of welded parts.

Question: How do I convert the volume bodies into welded parts so that I can create a table in my plane. This allows me to display the designation and quantities automatically.

Thank you very much in advance.

Hello

If instead of having a part with integrated studs, you make an assembly of your part with the studs, I think it will appear in nomenclature.

To transform a part into a mechanically welded part, simply insert the welded construction function (on the other hand, which version of solidworks are you in?) to do this, go to insertion, welded construction, welded construction, the folder at the top of your creation tree turns into a list of welded parts instead of a solid body, Then just right-click on it, update so that the welded parts list item is automatically created.

Thank you for the answer. Indeed, I then have the possibility to insert a table of welded parts into the drawing. All I have to do is choose the variables I want to show.

Thanks again
