Convert sketch to Lib Feat Part .sldlfp

Hello

I'm having trouble converting aluminum profile sketches to Lib Feat Part under sw 2013.

Once saved in the weldment folder where I go to get my components, when I follow a sketch it tells me that my library function is empty.

Any leads?

Hello

Have you thought about highlighting your sketch icon before saving?

Here is one of the SW files that I reworked to save in LFP

n0115-45x45-4o.sldprt

Do you see your profile when you open the .sldlfp on your own?

SAMERLIPOPETTE works

Hello

When you are in your SLDPRT and you make File Save As and you choose .SLDLFP you must first select your sketch in the Feature Manager

The file you are attaching is in sldprt and not sldflp.

The problem comes from there if it's the one you're trying to put in the library!

@Benoit.LF

No it's the file I'm starting to save under so it's normal that it's a doc piece

It was well selected, the sketch I was missing

Sorry to dig up an old topic but I had the same problem and I just found the solution.
The solution comes from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XehIA9JDN-c&ab_channel=TDIMod%C3%A9lisation. It is therefore necessary to:

- Save the template as a .sldlpf file, but have the sketch highlighted, otherwise the created template is empty. If the template is empty, just make edit, cancel simplified piece. The sketch therefore returns;

- Then, right-click on the sketch and select add to library. You will see a small L logo on the sketch.

I hope this helps you as much as I do in creating profiles!

I just tested Charleslr's method on my 2018 version. It works.

Thank you.
