Convert or export a Catpart file as a txt data file

Hi everyone;

I want to draw with CATIA an airplane wing, then study its characteristics under XFLR5.

XFLR5 can only read txt files (geometry data in x, y, z form).

1/ In your opinion, will it be possible to convert or export a 3d geometry (on Part Design or Shape design) in the form of a txt file ?

2/ Is it also possible to do the opposite, i.e. can I import a txt file (which includes the data of the 3d wing) to CATIA, so that it can read and display it?

Looking forward to your reply, please receive my sincere greetings.

Manel

Hello

If you have the coordinates of the points you can from an Excel create just the 3D points in CATIA and the curves.

If in CATIA you have your 3D points (x,y,z) you can export in Excel or CSV.

Both methods work, you need to have the coordinates (x,y,z) of the points.

Hello, Thank you Franck.
