Copy and paste constraints

Hello

I'm on SW2012, and I have constraints to copy and paste in the same assembly, how to do it.

Thank you

Good evening

With the Copy Stresses tool, you can copy identical stresses very quickly, such as ten clamping screws implanted around a flange.

A huge time saver!

Where to find "copy constraints"?

Where to find "copy constraints"?

In the "assembly" tab - scroll down "Insert components" - "Copy constraints".

Or, right-click on the component to be copied and "Copy constraints"

Hello

As indicated in the tutorial to remind you of the basics for SolidWorks, you can use the "copy with constraints" tool (I don't know if it's the same thing Alain is talking about.

For the tutorial, see here:

What constraint are you talking about

Give us examples

a screenshot of the files is for library parts?

Pieces that you created yourself?

There are a lot of tutorials on the site among others

if it's for the duplication of parts

just copy the part to make its symmetry via a plan in the right place

The part and the constraints follow

@Alain: In the case of a flange (or a series of holes), the function-driven repetition will be even more efficient.

Otherwise, copying it with constraints is "the" tool, especially if you connect the components properly: you can copy several components at once, as if they were a subset.

The only drawback is that it only handles the basic constraints...
