Dotted Quotes

Hello

In a Solidworks drawing, I can no longer dimension on dotted lines! Where is the trick hidden?

Thanks in advance

Hello

It looks like a graphical bug maybe.

Is it on all levels?

Does the same problem occur on the same level with a colleague's computer?

Maybe closing SolidWorks will solve the problem.

Hi my Fifi,

New drawing? Recovered from another position?

Is it a problem that just appeared or have you never had to do this until now?

What do you call a dotted line? A feature of a view in "apparent hidden lines" mode?

Did you restart SolidWorks after saving your drawing?

Put your view in wireframe image while you hang your rating.

For a permanent solution, retrieve the settings of one of your colleagues (Start/All programs/SolidWorks/SolidWorks tools/Wizard to copy the settings.) and reload it on your computer!

Sounds like a graphical bug, are the graphics card drivers up to date?

What model is it?

You can check and download the latest recommended drivers here:

http://www.solidworks.fr/sw/support/videocardtesting.html

Otherwise, you should try resetting the SolidWorks settings to see if it doesn't  come from the configuration of the workstation:

Close SolidWorks.

Go to regedit (Start > Run > regedit) and then rename the folder with _OLD at the end for example (to restore the settings later):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Solidworks\SolidWorks .... depending on the version you want to reset.

When you restart SW, you have the "factory" settings

The license keys are in another place, so no risks.

On the other hand, if it solves the problem, it's quite complicated to know which parameter in particular is causing the problem !

If you have kept an older copy of the settings, you should try it, or take the settings from a colleague's computer if possible.

Otherwise, you have to restore all the settings by hand, hoping not to find the bug later !

Or last solution, reinstall or repair the SolidWorks installation!

See this link : http://help.solidworks.com/2013/french/SolidWorks/Install_Guide/t_repairing_installation.htm

Uh, question: wouldn't there be a filter enabled that would prevent the selection of edge or stroke?

Hello

Without going too far, a small forced reconstruction doesn't change anything?
