Configurable side on solidworks

Hello

Working on Inventor again, I try again to set up sets that can be reused often: Stairs, cinoline ladders, conveyors...

in short I'm trying to get into the configuration on Solidworks.

Does anyone have a tutorial, video or advice to get started?

Indeed I don't find the same logic as on inventor or TopSolid. In short, I'm lost!

Thank you for your answers.

Does anyone have an idea?

Thank you for your help.

Hello

You can find well-done tutorials directly from Solidworks:

You also have online courses:

And for videos, you'll find plenty of them on Youtube.

Kind regards

Hello

In most of the tutorials I've done on youtube, I use equations.

Differentiate between:

Managing a room by equations

manage a document by Excel

"May the dark side reign in the galaxy... "

Hello

I also come from Inventor and the settings were a little nicer than on Solidworks.

I just set up a pebble with several dimensions. as one could configure  a screw with different length.

In ConfigurationManager, I create a new config. Then I displayed the dimensions and on each side, right click / configure the dimension.

For me, it's the closest thing to what we had on Inventor.

I hope I have enlightened you

It also depends on whether you manage a part or an assembly, how you want the information to flow from the assembly into the parts, what and how  the files will be used afterwards.

Knowing that you can stack configurations, equations and families of parts and end up with beautiful gas plants.
