I want to design a timing belt on Catia, I've tried quite a few times using the sweep (rib) of part design and mm with the custom repeat, but I can't do it!!

Hello Which version of CATIA??
A custom repetition is the right way to go (on a point-on-curve repetition with axis system repetition). Unless your version is too old.
