Creating sub-assemblies in welded construction

Hello everyone ,

I created an assembly with several elements:

Simple parts and also assemblies in welded construction.

I would like to create sub-assemblies in order to be able to make a drawing of each part of my element in order to be able to edit my drilling and plate welding...

I followed the solidworks helpers that say to select in the part in the welded part list and the other element with the CTRL key and right click and create a welded sub-assembly except that I can't find this function I simply form a sub-assembly when I click on it my part that I selected in the welded part list does not open in this new sub-assembly

Do I forget a step?

Hello

 

If I understand correctly, you want to build your welded  part structure in a part file.

And  then break down a body into a part file and so on.

If that's it, right click on list of welded parts

Insert into a new room

In the insert in a new part module , choose the desired part

To create a subassembly in an assembly, select the parts of the future subassembly with ctrl or Shift-> Right-click-> Form a new subassembly

You can then save to an external file
