Creation of a family of materials

Hi everyone,

I want to create a solidworks material library with the same properties. For example, add several "flat bars" in the "profiled" category, with the same characteristics. 

My question is: Can I create this library as quickly and conveniently as a family of parts? By linking it to an excel format for example? I have 50 materials and more to add...

Hello

No, there is not really a utility to do this.

You have to create one and then copy it:

Otherwise you can try to modify the XML files of the materials, but always keep a copy!
