Creates a face from a mesh

Hello

I would like to create a single-sided surface from a mesh of points.

The object in question looks like the inside of a flat hand.
for the moment I use Solidworks 2012 3D scan to in automatic mode, the result obtained is a surface body of many faces (150 to 400)
With this body, I deform a flat surface (body deformation), which gives me a good result but a big problem of draft and too much calculation time.
Other software than Solidworks to get me the desired result?

Thank you

Why deform a flat surface?

via a Boolean operation

you should be able to have an optimal result I think

and no problems with the draft

Hi, you can try with blender which is free, see this tutorial:

"Why deform a flat surface?"

In fact, I deform this flat surface for the first time with the copy of the composite surface that I have reduced (a copy of the same size takes me too far from the original).

Even mitigate, the draft problem persists and multiplying them deforming also multiply the recurring calculation times.

I'll try with Blender.

Is it possible to generate a surface with blender or Sketchup and import it to Solidworks?

Yes I think you can export a blender surface to SW
