Create a new tick symbol

Hi all

In our company, we have set up quotations specific to our business (see attached file). Unfortunately, they do not exist in the Solidworks library.

Is it possible to create them and insert them in the drawings?

Or is there another alternative?

Thank you in advance

Hello

This is not possible to my knowledge, we will have to make do with the ones that exist in SolidWorks.

you can add some by editing the GTOL file. SYM

edit: and if you don't want it to be overwritten in future SW updates, just do your own and then enter its location in the options/file locations/

Hello.

Basically with Solidworks, I don't think it's possible. On the other hand, you can probably get around it.

You open a drawing, you draw your special frame. Then you create a block.

Then you save this block somewhere where it is easy to find it for you.... and all you have to do is import it according to your drawings and position it on top of your dimension.

I don't know if it will follow your odds (maybe by selecting the two and linking them? But no certainties)

Hoping it can help you:)

@opiep27: What do you mean?

I had misread the question, my answer is for the added flags and not on the quotation.

The closest thing to this is:

Control Rating .

just one question, is it directly on the coast (<DIM>) that you want to add the symbol?

Isn't it just an add symbol in addition to your rating  (a bit like adding a diameter or +/-, ...)?

Indeed I want to make a new symbol in the <DIM> like for example the standard functional dimension (the oblong shape around the dimension).

The technique of making a block is not viable because it does not "fit" the size of the odds according to the number of digits. In addition, it does not follow the coast if it has to be moved.
