Hello
I'm trying to make a half side (containing the true value) on a scratchy view.
By default, if you choose half odds, Catia does not display the value twice!
I would like to have the real rating actually on a half view.
e.g., the PM 525.35 rating
Thanks in advance

Hello
A priori all the options available for sidecuts can be found here:
http://www.staff.city.ac.uk/~ra600/ME2105/Catia%20course/CATIA%20Tutorials/driug_C2/driugbt1008.htm
But I couldn't find anything to hide these reminder lines.
Edit: It's possible!
In fact, you just have to right-click on the side and choose "half dimension".

A rating is a rating
so no half side
if you want half a side you have to cut your piece in half
@+ ;-))
To hide the reminder lines, there are the checkboxes "Display first extension line" and "Display second extension line". represented in the help
But there is still the coast line itself which remains whole and that's the whole problem, I would like to be able to reduce it.
Otherwise, for your information there are other options that are only available when creating the dimension by a right click: like the half dimension.

Yes I edited my message:
When you create a dimension between an axis and another element, the dimension created by the software is automatically an half dimension. To bypass this problem, during creation, uncheck Half Dimensions in the contextual menu (right-click).
So right-click => half side.

Yes, to get the right value, you need to dimension between the object to be dimensioned and the axis of symmetry of the part.
If it is not created by default, you can add an axis:

Thank you for the tutorial, but it doesn't completely meet my need
I found the solution that interests me:
Create a cut on the sideline.
Thank you all
