In Solidsworks Composer 2013, can we create a single BOM line from a set of parts that do not come from the same assemblies, or from a hotspot or a selection set that would group these parts?
Would it be better in Composer 2015?

Neither, you should rather create an assembly group and in the bom use the parent level to display only the name of this assembly group and not what it contains.

But after creating an assembly group, can we still update the product? Since the pieces have been moved.

I just did the test and indeed the update is done but the assembly group no longer exists.....
No other solutions unfortunately...
