Rack and pinion in solidworks

I want to make a small distributor, so for that I would need to draw a rack under solid works in order to make it under 3D printer.

I would like to know if you should make 1 link and duplicate it, or if the software is intelligent and you tell it, I want a rack of this type, on X length, and it does it like a big one.

Hello Raccoon,

There is a module in SolidWorks called Solidworks Toolbox, which allows from typical data to the gears (module, pressure angle, etc.) to make a rack, the module is not accessible in the standard version of Solidworks.

If you have the standard version, it is possible to make just one tooth and then do a linear repetition for example.
