Unfolding a sheet metal in a helix

Hello

I want to unfold the piece as an attachment. I used the transition fold function with two helices in 3D sketches . The unfolded function works perfectly at first. But after removing material to make the holes, SOLIDWORKS can no longer give me the unfold. I work with SOLIDWORKS 2015.

Is there a solution to unfold it?

Have you checked removal of normal material?

No, I can't do a normal material removal on such a sheet metal. I used the removal of material with revolution.

Hello

you can't make the holes once the piece is unfolded?

No, I can't make the holes once the part is unfolded, the removal was already done on an assembly following other parts. My objective is to locate the position of the holes on the unfolded sheet metal for manufacturing. I don't want the opposite direction

Hello

I think it's a stringer from a staircase! You can't give it a crease on this surface since it's not flat...

Yes, it's a silt from a staircase. Even with more recent versions of solidworks I can't :'( ???

In fact, you have to create the part in a fold-out version, then unfold it and remove the material, then fold it.

Here is your unfolded in DXF as an attached file

since I'm in SW 2017

To do this, I have your surface in surface made a unfolded

thickened and recorded in DXF

do you have to put the odds

Here is the principle of how to make a fold-out stringer.
