Parts are displayed as cubes when moving around the Solidworks 2018 assembly

Hello

On some assemblies, parts are displayed as cubes when moving around the assembly.

I tried to reduce the quality of the display of the parts

I tried to configure subassemblies in speedpack

This may improve the result

What other settings can I take to remove this display problem?

Hello Philippe,

I don't have the 2018 version anymore, I have the 2020 SP5, try to uncheck the display of the "visualization cube".

See attached screenshot:

Hello

This is the normal behavior of Sw on large assemblies: removal of small parts and blocks containing large ones as long as you move the mouse. SW only does the calculation once the view is 'stationary'.

You have to rummage through the assembly options and large assemblies to drive from part combination SW uses this degraded mode.

Hello

Thank you for your answers

I unchecked the display of the "visualization cube"     ->    No effect

I unchecked the management of large assemblies (it's not a large assembly)  -> without effect

The graphics card driver seems to be a problem

I'm looking this way...

Hello

Check this: options/assembly/opening a complex assembly.

We had the problem where when installing the new version the component number was set to 63 (or something like that) and suddenly we had the same kind of problems as you.

We set it to 3000 for the light mode and unchecked the management of large designs (useless with us)

I tried to change these values or uncheck these options

No effect on the appearance of part in cube form

Hello

I just noticed that pressing "alt" while moving around the assembly causes the dynamic display to be normal.

How do I set Soliworks to make the digital signage normal without pressing "alt"?

Hello

I think it's not to reduce the display quality but rather increase it to encompass the relatively small details;)

For my part, I managed to emulate your problem by playing on these two options:

Trying to change

  • Curve generation (always for each shaded model).
  • Level of detail (disable).

For the shortcuts, I found this
