Description in Solidworks Explorer

Hello

I bring up "Description" in the tabs of the solidworks explorer

but it must be systematically redone when opening a different file.

Surely there is a way like in Windows Explorer to freeze this display?

Thank you in advance.

Hello

No SolidWorks crash?

By closing SolidWorks right after making the change, it doesn't change?

Otherwise, with the "Organize" button at the top left, there is no option for that?

A link .PL had provided me on another question:

I fixed the column and it works just as well in windows explorer as in SW explorer. (I don't know if that answers the question...)

For me it's a Windows option and not SolidWorks.

You add your column from a Windows explorer and that's it.

Note: the only flaw is that when you have the file open in SoldWorks, the description disappears in your Windows explorer.

Yes, the solution I proposed @Martvy should match.

Indeed, it is a classic Windows window.

Hello

To freeze your display, it is enough to make sure that your display is well adjusted to:

  • click on Tool (from the Windows Explorer),
  • folder option...
  • View tab
  • Click on "Apply to folders"

Normally it will apply to all files...
