Hi all
I am addressing Pro-Enge and SolidWorks users in particular.
What are the differences between these 2 software programs for you? Which one has better opportunities and on which theme?
Open debate!
Have a good day and thank you in advance for your answers.

Hello
What profession do you belong to?
And in what area will you use this software?

And what a debate!
Having used the 2 softwares, I find that it is already easier to use or find a solution by yourself with Solidworks.
The 2 software programs are still close, as I often say: "It's the same but different!"
As Bart says, it also depends on the applications
Namely that Pro-E is no longer Pro-E but Creo elements.

But hey I could be wrong, it's already been 4 years since I touched Solidworks and at the time they looked the same but maybe not anymore!

Personally, since I've been in the world of work, I've already had to deal with several software.
Some are completely outdated or not at all practical. And others not bad.
If today, I was asked to choose one software among all those used, I would choose Solidworks without hesitation!!!
But it all depends on your field of application (B.E, simulation, customer rendering, production etc....)
of your trade (Carpenter, Cabinetmaker, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, etc.)
and the logic in which you are working at the moment, with which software.
Are you going to have to do conversions of old plans, or whatever?
I know, I'm repeating myself, but nothing beats brainwashing^^

Hello
I've been using Pro/E since 1998.
I followed the different evolutions until I recently switched to Creo 3.0.
I only had 15 days of training in 1998 and I was able to adapt to the different new versions without any problem.
I even skipped 3-4 versions in 1 time.
There was never any loss of data between the different versions.
I still have macros from the 1st versions running.
I've never been blocked from drawing a piece and yet I only work in volume.
So of course, I would recommend Creo.
You can look at the questions on this site, there are much less on Creo or Pro/E than on Solidworks.
Is Solidworks less intuitive or less reliable???

I love the message you are sending s.b !
It's true that I'm also rarely stuck on Creo for very long, and very few bugs.

Hello
I work in a mechanic-oriented design office.
Let's say that we open the debate in terms of pure performance of the 2 software, whether for drawing, simulation and why not made a client.
Personally, I use SolidWorks and I'm quite happy with it, but it's missing that little bit that makes you question the choice of software today.
In any case, thank you for your answers!
Have a good day everyone.
