Since an update of SolidWorks I noticed a problem with my DXF. When I work on Step files mainly, but also on SolidWorks documents, which I want to save in Dxf format to send to the cutting machines, the circles appear halfway. I touched the setting a little but nothing changes, I put the different documents in attachments if someone can do it it would be great!
Is the problem really due to a SolidWorks update? The same problem exists on the hole plate as an example with SW 2018. Whether the DXF export is done from the STEP file, or from a SolidWorks backup in SLDPRT (the two files generated are identical), only one 1/2 circle is represented for each hole: a total of 12 arcs of circles, 8 for the half-holes and 4 for the fillets in the corners of the plate. On the other hand, the export normally takes place from a drawing of the plate, with 20 arcs of circles.
The problem is related to the visualization offered by SldWks. If the DXF is generated by giving the part any orientation with respect to the direction of projection, the holes appear in their entirety, in the form of ellipses of course.
Part in the projection plane Any orientation On a simple 2D part such as the hole plate, we can imagine workarounds, by reconstructing a sketch, a surface. For more complex shapes, by making a basic drawing with a single view, just for export.
