Driveworks / Dynamic Excel Import

Hello
On Driveworks,
I would like to use a macro button to update a DW table imported from an Excel file.
In other words: If the values of my Excel file change, I would like to refresh my Dw table linked to this file when I click on a macro button.
I tried the "refresh table" task of the macro spec but nothing happens.
Thank you.

When a specification is created in DriveWorks, DriveWorks copies the project and its data as a starting point for configuration. If the Refresh Table task is started from a macro button, it will refresh the associated table. If this table is from an Excel file, the file will be refreshed and updated in this specification.

Be careful, though, because because this is a specification task, the table update will only be effective for that specification (and will only be persistent if the specification is saved). Other specifications or even the project will not be affected = not updated by this operation.

To update the project so that the data available by default when creating a specification reflects the current version of the Excel file, simply update the table in the project using the "Configure" button from the "Define Table" area.

Be careful, if changes have been made to this table via DriveWorks, they will be lost during this refresh. To avoid any risk of data loss, you should therefore avoid doing so and favor changes from Excel only.

Here is a link to a video illustrating these explanations (valid until March 15, 2023):

Hello Christophe,
For:

Can we perform this manipulation with macro or spec automatically?
Thank you for your feedback.
Kind regards.
