Is it possible to put a DXF that comes from AutoCAD on Solidworks to have the part in 3D

It is possible to integrate a dxf into a SW prt file to serve as a base.
To see, depending on the complexity of the part, but personally I prefer to redraw and be sure that it is constrained correctly, dxf files are usually full of micro-entities (line, arc, spline) which quickly lead SW to default.
