Multi-body part explosion in an assembly explode

Hello

Is it possible to reuse a multi-body exploded part in an assembly exploded part?

It's possible to do it with an exploded sub-assembly but I haven't found it for multi-body parts.

Thank you for your help.

Hello

The answer is here:

Two solutions:

open your multibody piece, and make an exploded of it (insertion/exploded view)

and make it appear in your exploded assembly.

Or:

Use the "move bodies" function in a given configuration. It will work if there is no animation.

They also talk about the scale function, and other techniques here:

I think the best solution is to do not multi-body

but to make each body its own ref

and make an assembly

and then you will have all the possibilities to make the bursts you want (animation included)

so separate the multibodies into independent bodies

@gt22: what's the point of doing this, multibody files offer so many advantages that it would be a shame to deprive yourself of them! Why are you against this use?

@ludorinox: I think @Lucas's answer is correct.

@gt22,

It's a welded building piece so having multiple parts doesn't have much interest for me.

Otherwise I created an exploded view of my part but I can't use this exploded view in the assembly.

I think the only solution I have left is the configuration with the bodies moved.

Thank you for your answers

Re

A priori this is not possible but it's quite logical, why would you want to represent a mechanically welded part in an assembly since it is a part, otherwise the remark of gt22 makes sense.

Indeed, if you were to use a welded mechanic, there is no logic in breaking it up once assembled with other parts, @ludorinox: why do you want to do this? To what end?

To reply @ Coyote and Ludorinox

I thought we had to make an animation of the burst

(the title being exploded from a multi-body part in an assembly)

That's the reason for my answer

now in welded construction all the welded parts become one body ;-)
