Edrawings

Hello to you, we would like to use edrawings to replace 3d plans in boilermaking and assembly workshops, have you ever seen workshops worked like this? And what are the limits of the software, we would like to highlight the dimensions but also the screws or other components.

I think it's practiced, even if I've never seen it.

Annotations (dimensions and others) can be displayed in a part edrawing:

In an edrawing assembly too, you can display the dimensions of each part, but it's a bit messy. Even when isolating one part, the annotations of the other parts still appear.

To identify the screws in an assembly, I advise you to name the screws with a sequence of characters that will allow you to filter in edrawing (screws ending in "_V"). You can also use a colored I to make it easier to understand:

For me, the best thing is to make edrawings of each machined part and one of the assembly. You have to "display annotations" under SW before doing the export otherwise they will not appear

Hello

We use eDrawings in the workshop, in addition to the PDF plans.

The operators like it because they can check dimensions that are not present on the plan, have a quick visual of the part, cross-sectional views, etc.

I think like @yve, it can be a good system by adjusting it correctly in relation to the needs.
