Delete the message "education license"

Hello

I took a student for the summer and he came with his education license since ours are already in use.

We quickly realized that everything he touches becomes an "education license". It is unacceptable that I present plans marked education to my clients.

So we uninstalled his set and he will go home but the damage is done.

Apart from missing the "marked" plans (a lot of time for nothing) or going through step or other iges (loss of the construction so not possible for a project in progress), what solution exists to remove this marking?

Thank you all

Yves

Hello, the only other solution is to write to support, fill out a form that they will transfer to Dassault with the parts.

Then Dassault will study the file to see if they agree to remove the watermark or not, and then if they accept, they will send you the modified files.

Hello

If you save the said parts in step and re-open them with featurworks you will have your build tree again. Featurworks recognizes the functions used to create a part in a step.

If I'm not mistaken, you can right-click on the watermark and hide it, but it's impossible to remove the student logo on the pieces.

I just thought of something but I don't know if it works. Try to see if it's possible to slap the watermark. If possible, apply the defpoints layer if you have one.

@Ac cobra 427, your idea is not bad but it is a copyright from Dassault. I'd be surprised if it's so easy to get around.

That said, nothing prevents you from trying!! :)

Have a good weekend.

A trick for drawings is to print with PDF creator in image format (Jpeg) and retouch the image using an eraser with Paint or others.

I don't think there are any other solutions. That's precisely the purpose of this watergram: to prevent professionals from using a free license.

You can indeed try via Solidworks as indicated to you @G. , but there is no guarantee that they will be sensitive to the cause.

And be careful, because the offending parts "contaminate" the assemblies in which they are used, which then become "educational licenses" until the said part is removed.

In short, all that's left to do is take your courage in both hands and do everything again;)

As @coin37coin says, a piece conntamine all the containers, assembly and drawing.

Thank you all

I'm still going to make a request to Solidworks but without much hope and I'm going to have the parts redrawn. Which is unfortunate because in the meantime the students continue to work on paper casserole projects...
