Finite Elements and Meshing on Catia v5

Hello

I'm trying to experiment with the EF calculation on Catia v5.

For the moment, I am practicing on a very simple square beam .

After defining my connections   (embedding on one side of the beam) and a load (a vertical force at the end of the beam), I was able to start a calculation with the tool

Then, I was able to observe the results obtained using the mesh, constraints and displacement icons.

For this calculation, I assume that Catia has set a default mesh.

In order to refine the result, I wanted to reduce the size of the mesh.

To do this, I have the mesh size

On the other hand, once the size of the mesh is changed, I can no longer run calculations with .

Do you have any ideas why after a change in the size of the mesh, I can no longer restart a calculation?

This is because I only opened the . CatAnalysis. Catia may also need to be opened up to her in parallel with the associated share...

Thank you in advance for your ideas.

Hello

Maybe we just need to validate the mesh again:

Click   Mesh The Partin the Execution toolbar.

Otherwise, by chance by closing and reopening CATIA?

you should have an answer

Hello

To do this, you must have defined a material on the part

Always use a proportional mesh, it is possible to create a local mesh on the area you are interested in

the finer the mesh, the more accurate the result is, but the longer the calculation

always use a distributed force (the fairest result)

It is sometimes wise to create a 0.02mm pocket where you want to create the effort (fairer result)

Hello

But who has the right solution??????????

Open questions but why???????
