Hello everyone.
We currently use a server where all our 3D files are stored
At another location on the same server we carry out projects for which we will look for "parts, assembly" components located in the above location
Following a big computer failure we want to change servers and move the 3d source files to a new server of better "quality"
Isn't there a significant risk of losing the links
Is there a solution to move these files without risk (Total volume of files about 543GB)
Thank you in advance for your answers
Given your question, I assume that you are not on PDM. So it depends if the new server keeps the same address (network drive letter, path).
At worst, it screws up, we will have to give the way back to SW when the assembly is opened. I was never convinced by the "search path" option.

Hello
As stefbeno says, you need the same drive letter and the same aborescence otherwise the loss of links will take place, otherwise there is a tool called "Dependencies" in the "MycadTools" tools that allows you to redefine the links.
Kind regards
