Register an isolated component

Following a received STEP assembly, how to save an isolated component for rework

Hello

In the assembly you can use the "assembly functions",

You can also save the latter in  "sldprt" format, then "delete keep bodies", or "insert in a new room"

(ooops, it seems that some points have been discussed before,)

Hello

From memory there is a way to manage the opening in multibody or assembly on a step (in the SW options of the step files).

Otherwise you just have to register either a part locally (if the step has opened an assembly), or to do a body deletion if you are in multibody. If you want to simplify the tree, you can always re-save the result obtained as a neutral file (parasolid or step) which when opening this new file will allow you to have only one body without a creation tree.

Hello

Thank you for your feedback, I'm trying these methods.

It doesn't work or it's too tedious,

Thank you for your help

Yes, unfortunately this is the best you can get from a dead file,

Hello!

You can make configurations and then use the delete body function and keep the one you want to rework it.
