Hi all
I'm working on SolidWorks 2020. I often can't save my drawings in PDF format.
File -> Save as -> PDF and when I save, nothing happens.
Have you ever had this problem? Is there another way to export to PDF?

Hello
I also found the same problem , you try with file -> print -> choose the name Microsoft Print to PDF.
Hello
There is a solution other than export, it is printing to a printer (adobe pdf, foxit...)
Hello
I'm working on SW 2018 SP4, yes I've had this problem before,...
You have to check if your PDF printer or other printer that allows you to create pdfs is installed on your pc...
Keep me informed @+.

Hello
Do you have the problem on all levels? The big shots?
If it's for large drawings, since you're in SW2020, I advise you to open your drawing with the wrapping mode.
What do you have as a defined PDF reader?
I had foxit phantome PDF past a while and it was creating problems with Solidworks 2017.

Thank you all for your answers!
So yes I can export by printing as PDF (but the format doesn't automatically follow as if it saves a PDF).
This problem occurs for all drawings (from the simplest to the most complex).
I have Adobe as my PDF reader.
This problem is not present all the time, but when it does, I will save with printing.
Thank you again for your help.
Best regards.
Hello
Normally, there is no need to worry about all this.
The PDF file format (adobe standard) has been native in SW for at least six years.
how do I do it. I save my plan in SLD format and then immediately I ask to save it in PDF format by choosing ;PD F as I would choose any other format such as STEP etc.
And SW who manages and even launches Adobe if I want for visualization and verification.
So why complicate it when you can make it simple with a guaranteed PDF format.
Kind regards
PS: the extra setting is like the drawing but with less problems if I dare say so: which is not more or less the same thing since there is a plus ;-) NOooooonnnn don't bang the head
