Registering under dwg

Hello

I would like to save in dwg format all the plans from the same EPDM folder.

but before that, I would like to reload the basemap of each plan (new basemap without our company logo), there are A4 and A3.

How can I proceed to go as quickly as possible (macro, EPDM task, ...)?

Thank you

Hello

It's possible with Integration if you have the MyCAD utilities:

http://www.mycadblog.fr/fonds-plan/

Otherwise for a macro see these tracks:

https://forum.solidworks.com/message/251599

http://help.solidworks.com/2013/English/api/sldworksapi/Set_Up_Drawing_Sheet_Example_VB.htm

And Integration is available on Lynkoa here for €100 minus a cent:

On the other hand, you need MyPDMTools in addition to be able to modify plans directly in EPDM, to do so make a request for a quote from Axemble.

Like @Lucas: Integration is the perfect tool.

On the other hand, for the interfacing with EPDM, you will have to get closer to Axemble, because you will only have to extract the A3 and A4 MEPs.

However, I don't want to save the plans with the new basemap without the logo !!

With Integration (without  MypdmTools) you can set up the utility as follows:

Here's the idea:

  1. Operation n°1:

Condition: The file is a drawing

Action n°1: replace the backgrounds of the sheets according to their format:

Format of the sheet to be replaced: A4

Give the location of the basemap without logo for the A4 format

Action n°2: replace the backgrounds of the sheets according to their format:

Format of the sheet to be replaced: A3

Give the location of the basemap without logo for the A3 format

  1. Operation n°2:

Condition: The file is a drawing

Action n°1: export the file

Define the location of the files to be exported (except EPDM, I think in your case)

Choose the export format (*.dwg).

On the other hand, your drawings must be archived (so read-only), in this case the change of basemap will not be taken into account on the original EPDM files.

If you have myPDMTools you have to go to the INTEGRATION options and uncheck all the options related to the EPDM.

Almost everything is said by @flegendre, except for one detail: you have to have all the plans concerned in the local cache!!

Unless there is an Integration option to get the latest version?

Otherwise Integration will loop in a vacuum or send error messages.

@benoit.lf: in this specific case, not sure that you are obliged to load your drawings in the local cache since you are working on the drawing and not the part + the drawing (in the latter case, the EPDM sometimes does not know how to put the 2 in the cache).

On the other hand, it is preferable to clear the local cache before starting to process the files (so you are sure to process the files at the latest version).

However, where you're right, in the local cache you absolutely need the basemaps.

FYI in the attached file, a view of the EPDM options of the INTEGRATION utility.

When you don't have the file in your local cache, are you sure it will fetch it on its own?

I remembered that Integration (or another MyCAD tool) didn't handle this action...

EDIT: my brain haze is starting to fade...

The problem appeared when assigning materials or changing the basemap via Integration. When the parameters (Material Library and Basemaps in EPDM) were not in the local cache, Integration still ran without an alert message.
