Save parts to the new version

Hello
I use PDM and I make a tree copy to retrieve a project and reuse it by modifying it. Everything works but I did a performance analysis and he tells me that I have a lot of parts that are from an old version of SW
I thought that by making the copy, or at least recording the assembly, all the parts were converted. This is not the case

How do you always have your parts saved to the latest version? (just to improve performance)

Thank you

Hello

Several ways to do this:

  1. Open the copy and save everything (it will convert everything to the current version)

  2. Use the Task Scheduler conversion tools

Basically, we convert every year when migrating to the sup version of SW using the FileVersionUpgrade utility provided with Solidworks PDM.

Thanks, are you talking about the parent assembly? I recorded the assembly, but for example the first part, which is a ferrule, has always remained in the old version. I had to open this room and save it
The problem is that I would like to avoid this for each part of the assembly

This is indeed a point that we have not made...

Yes, you have to click on save all.
To my knowledge, I have no other choice than to open the assembly each time and convert. Otherwise you have to play with the tasks of the trunk but in any case it will be " manual " conversion.
Whether it's through the chest or a take-home composition, SW only copies the file to another folder so it keeps the saved version (converted or not)

well you know what I've never used " save all "! Laughing out loud
All that's left to do is test this, thank you
