Enter a parameterization at the installation of an SW2014 constraint

Hello

I want to be able to put a parameter directly in the value box of a constraint in assembly. I'll try to be clear, currently, I have a reference file that only contains the settings, the repetitions etc.....

I insert this file at each assembly or subassembly. When I set a distance constraint between 2 parts, I would like to be able to write =length 20 being in the equation of the reference piece. I am forced to put a value of 5mm for example then I edit this constraint and I can apply the parameterization but it's too long.

Is there a solution?

Starting by writing = in the box it doesn't offer the variables of the file? I know it works for the ratings, if it doesn't work in the constraint property manager, then there's no solution!

If the equations are always the same, you can save them in txt, then import them afterwards.

in view of your assembly screen via the feature manager

You have an assembly that includes 3 parts, 2 of which are fixed the (f) in front of the name

Exhibit 2 named Exhibit 2 is fixed

Exhibit 3 is free of constrain

Marking piece 3 is fixed

For solidworks assemblies this is not a usual practice

Hello

Which version of SolidWorks do you have, because what you are asking for is possible since the 2014 version  if my memory is correct.
