Hello
I'm looking to check via a note inserted in my basemap. The principle is simple: there is an "INDEX" property in the custom properties of my parts and there is the "Revision" property specific to the plan when the modification tables are used (which is my case, of course). So I want to compare these two values in a note and if they are equal, then we don't put anything and if they are different, then we put a message. I naively tried a: if ($PRP:"Revision"=$PRPSHEET:"INDEX", "" , "DIFFERENT PLAN INDEX & DIFFERENT PART INDEX") in Excel mode but no =)! I've done a little bit of a tour of the forums but I can't find any information about the equations in the notes... I don't even know if this is possible!?
Repeat: we have myCADtools
Thank you for your help!

Hello
Unless I'm mistaken, the grades are "fixed" so it's not possible to put Excel type formulas.
Maybe in the custom properties form if you use it to populate your files (not tested as we have Solidworks PDM plus macros that check things at check-in).
Hello
I'm afraid that your problem doesn't have a simple solution: basically, a drw can call several 3D models (prt and/or asm).
So when you ask SW to compare a 2D property with a 3D property, it doesn't know which 3D to take.
I can hardly see only a macro to get this result, so the question arises of when to launch this macro.
Thank you Cyril.f and stefbeno for your answers!
I suspected something like this and I thought of a macro but indeed => when to launch it? The user shouldn't have to do it because there will be oversights.
Would myCADtools have a tool that allows me to do this?
