Are there any fritted bronze flanged rings in the toolbox?

I want to insert a sintered bronze flange rings into my assembly with Solidworks 2015, but I can't find them in the toolbox. Where are they?

Good evening, I don't think there is one!

You can find them at Michaud by following this link:

Hello

There are none, you either have to redesign them or upload them to sites like TraceParts, for example:

Solidworks pundits always said

never work with SW's original tool box

you'll only have problems

Create your own library in a very independent folder

to be able to always work with it depending on the version

A wise reflection to ponder

Thank you for your answers. This is because there is no bookcase for bronze collar rings.

On "3D contentcentral" or tracepart, there is a ring to download. But I find that it's not practical during a design, because there are constant changes. We start with a 10 mm axle, then modified to 12 to finish at 14 mm. It's "relieving" to have to download a new ring every time.

So, to remedy this problem, I created two library pieces: "sintered bronze ring" and "sintered bronze collar ring". I added them to the toolbox and as a result, I can modify them as I wish.

I followed two interesting tutorials:

I am attaching the two pieces to add to the library for those who are interested.

It's simple enough, but definitely needs improvement.

See you soon.

See this tutorial to create your own toolbox library

everything is said

For GT22,

The recommended tutorial is relatively general and oriented towards the use of the different functions of the toolbox. It does not show how to create your own component with all the manufacturer's dimensions.

When I insert the two files contained in the zip in the library, when the ring is inserted into the assembly, there is the choice of the size and can be modified later.

Here are other tutorials that will allow you to better understand the logic of the product

good reading if you have any shortcomings after there are also other posts on the site

We also use parts that we have designed with configurations, which is much more practical.

It's true. that's what I did but importing a ring from GGB that I then modified to create a hundred configurations with the manufacturer's ribs. And the same thing then for the collar ring.

But rather than everyone reface this manipulation, I posted them in a message above "ring bronze.zip" so that other users could benefit from them and insert them in their library.

See you.

PS: I'm attaching the zip
