When I make assemblies, if it is formed with a set of parts of the same material, I would like to have the opportunity to fill in this shade to have it automatically in my cartridge, like a part plan.
Is this possible?

Hello
In my opinion no, because the material must be put at the level of each component.
In any case, the "edit materials" function which allows you to indicate the materials is not accessible in an assembly.
Kind regards
Hello
To my knowledge it is not possible to put material in an assembly by the "Edit material" function, but you can create a custom property and retrieve it in your cartridge.
Kind regards
As d.roger says for some assembly we added the matter property for the same reason as you.
It works very well.
The material and material property is superimposed in the title block and it displays the one that is not blank.
In the 3D model of the assembly this is not possible because we do not have to "edit the Material".
On the other hand, you can record the assembly in a single piece and put a material on it.
Thus, this assembly/part will have an assigned material.
