Is it possible to use a propeller or spiral with a profile from my mechanically welded library?

Hello everyone, (My subject is a little too long sorry, I know...)

Blockquote

SW 2022 SP4

I have a question, is it possible to make a mechanically welded using my profiles from my library, using helix or spiral sketches?

I know that it's possible with a spline and with a 3D sketch coupled or not with my first sketch of spline and other shapes.
But impossible with a propeller or spiral.

Do you have an answer to my question? , knowing that I've tried everything, and that I can't do it.
It's just to complete my know-how.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards.

For me, it's not possible.
Scanning via a 3D sketch with helix conversion is possible, but not the welded mechanic.

Hello sbadenis,
Thank you, that's what I thought.
Have a good weekend.

Hello @tous
I just tried with structure system and it worked

Hello @Lynkoa15

Can you tell us a little more about the subject so that we can follow you!
Thank you

@sbadenis
Ditto, can you tell us why it's not possible. In other words, why a helix shape wouldn't work.
(obviously the connections at the end of the profiles must not be trivial)

Kind regards

Solidworks simply does not allow the selection of a 3D sketch of a spiral.
Why, I don't know @Zozo_mp!
Here it is impossible to select the spiral:

Hello
I'm on SW2022 SP5 and indeed as @Lynkoa15 said above with " System of structures " it works with a propeller/Spiral. See below how I did it:

Result (the welded part is added to the list of welded parts):

On the other hand, I have never used this tool! If anyone has any feedback to give us on its use and stability.

Interesting function (not available on my 2020)

Hello zozo
I couldn't free :sweat_smile:myself, but it seems that Nicolas described the method very well
Sbadenis is a module available since 2019, you just have to check it in the menu bar

Indeed I just found it, thank you for the tip.
I will deepen this structure system to see more precisely what it comes out of (other than for the present subject)
