Motion study and sensors

Hi all

I want to carry out a movement study of a 90° rotation operated by cylinders. This is in order to establish a curve of the stroke of the cylinders necessary to obtain this rotation.

My problem is that I can't install sensors in this motion study to measure the stroke of my cylinders?

Is this possible with SolidWorks Premium?

Thank you in advance.

The SolidWorks Motion add-in must be enabled in order to perform motion analysis and insert sensors. This makes it possible to create charts.

a little tutorial would be welcome

thank you @+ ;-)

Hello

Alternatively, you can also use the "DriveAssembly" tool from the myCADtools suite.

In this tool, dimensions are controlled that set in motion components of an assembly. A 3D curve and files of the coordinates of selected points or vertices are then retrieved. This is not motion.

Videos (a bit old but still current) can give you a good overview of what DriveAssembly can do.

Kind regards

Thank you Jm Savoyat we will dig into this solution...

Too bad not everyone can see the video!

@Rim-b: unless I'm mistaken, these videos are free to download, just register on the myCADservices website.

Impeccable!

With Drive Assembly. Everything works perfectly...

It's intuitive, efficient, and fast.

Thank you Axemble.

Thank you all and especially to jmsavoyat.

@☺jmsavoyat: Ah? I'm going to register on the site then, thank you for the information:)
