Hello
I recently installed SW 2019 SP1. This morning I wanted to do a motion study to show the kinetics of a mechanism. Classically, I created keys for each of the constraints involved and then defined their respective values as a function of time. But when I read the events I had the choice:
Standard Motion Option: A message telling me that the solver doesn't support keys and that I might get an error (see attachment). Indeed nothing happens
Animation option: the pane that should open from 0° to 90° opens with an alpha angle varying from 0° to 90° but "flashing" between alpha and - alpha.
Lies. Until now I had SW 2018 and no problem. In addition I increased the RAM of the PC, 12 GB currently, so logically it could only work better.
Do any of you have an idea?
Thank you and have a good day

Hello Pierre
If it worked in V2018, there's no reason why it shouldn't work in V2019.
Especially since these are parts that are not improved or even changed. It's probably something in terms of parameters that didn't follow during the upgrade.
On the other hand, I can't tell you what because without seeing the ASM, it's difficult to say anything.
On the other hand you don't say about your graphics card because if it flashes it's more of a RAM card symptom.
For the RAM you can easily check how much is occupied (used). If it's a small assembly, it's peanuts.
I have the 2019 SP1 version so if you want me to see if the problem appears on my machine it's possible.
Kind regards
Stone
Otherwise, this is what @Jm Savoyat, whom I salute, also suggested.
{[ Alternatively, you can also use the "DriveAssembly" tool from the myCADtools suite.
In this tool, dimensions are controlled that set in motion components of an assembly. A 3D curve and files of the coordinates of selected points or vertices are then retrieved. This is not motion.]}
If you have simple movements in limited quantities you have since V2016 the "Constraint Driver" function which is simple and very practical and a good alternative to Motion.
Kind regards
Maybe refresh the graphics card driver.
Sometimes from one version to another it plays a role. Needing to have several very varied versions, I sometimes juggle with 2 or 3 pilots.

Good evening Pierre
The problem comes from the angular constraint animation. This is a trigo problem known since 2010 which means that it cannot stop at the zero position. Indeed, even if you are at 33° and the following image will make you be at 35° for example, well it is set in relation to zero and not to 33+2. Hence the butterfly effect of the displacement
FORTUNATELY There is a simple alternative which is to use a motor for the lid. In this case, it is the duration and speed that define the opening angle. This is quite easy to adjust by moving the keys since the angular values are indicated.
The easiest way can also be to use "engine" but with the segment option, which allows (if it is interesting) to better control the starting and arrival speed if there is acceleration and deceleration.
On the other hand, for the part that moves away and gets closer, no problem with the distance control since there is no angle (so no ironing at the 0° angle). Note that here too you can put a linear engine and you will have a smoother image which is better if you have to show the animation to a client ;-)
I'll send you the file with the right settings as an example.
Kind regards

Hello @ Pierre Mihailovic
The files leading to the positive result are in your personal mailbox.
Kind regards
@tous Those who have the 2019 version can get it if they want the ZIP file.
