Hi all
My client gives me hpg files.
In your opinion, is it possible to use them with solidworks or autocad?

Hello, if it's a 2D, you can try with Inkscape to convert it to DXF, pay attention to the following output options if you want spline or polyline.
Hello Franck,
No, unfortunately it's a 3D file and the customer doesn't know how to output it in a more common format. Thank you for your help.
Phil
Out of curiosity, what is the software that gives this format?
Hello
https://www.file-extension.info/fr/format/hpg Apparently AutoCAD likes this format. Autocad is also able to turn it into IGS can be easier to use directly in SW.
Kind regards
Hello
Thank you for your answer.
For stefbeno: the customer can't tell me what software was used to generate this file.
For Zozo_mp: the different autocad and equivalent (draftsight) versions used could not open this file.
I don't know how to go about it. I'm waiting for the feedback from the customer who is investigating on his side. I'll tell you.
Thank you for your help.
Philippe
I imagine you can't share the file.
It is sometimes interesting to try to open the files with a simple text editor (like windows notepad), it sometimes/often allows you to find indications about the software/its editor.
