Hello
We are a marketer in the field of construction.
We have more and more demand for BIM digital models
Solidworks allows me to create files in IFC, which is the basis of BIM, but very little exploitable by specialized software.
I can't include the data I want to display and define my product with its use.
Is it possible to do it or do you have to use a second software?
Are there tutorials or other to develop these skills in the field?
Kind regards
Benjamin R.

Hello
Currently I am under SW14 License, I only have access to the IFC 2x3 extension.
I can save my File in IFC with an OmniClass in order to classify it.
However, I would like to add some technical/mechanical and informative information that is necessary.
BIM asks us for additional information such as the surfaces of interaction with other elements, specific levels of information.
For the moment, I can only record the piece in IFC without determining all these parameters
Kind regards

Hello
Look there, they talk about the WWTP as equivalent. Maybe they can accept to have it in STEP.
