Hi all

I want to export my library of custom materials made on one machine, to import it to another machine, without having to re-enter everything manually.

How to do it?

Do you know where your library file is saved?

You have to look for your personal material file with the .sldmat extension.

You can find its location in Options/File Locations/Material Database.

On my PC! but where? Good question!

I searched in all the install folders. I don't know where Solidworks puts the material files.

Yes, that's what I did. I can find the "Custom Materials" folder with a .sldmat file but it's only 4kb. When I put it on the other machine I have nothing more...

I ended up finding it by doing a search by extension.

and correctly setting up the file locations on the new machine.
