Exporting a SW 2018 assembly for SW 2014, how to do it?

Hi all

I am currently working from home and I work under sw2018. I need to send an assembly to my pattern that uses sw 2014.

I tried to save my assembly in step 214, but impossible to make it flexible...

Do you have any solutions to be able to convert my "dynamic" assembly to sw2014 or to be able to make a step flexible?

Thank you

The answer is no sorry

The best thing to do is to make a video and send it to him

or parasolid send all parts and assembly

that he will have to rebuild and play with ...

No way to make a step flexible? because I managed to create a step of the assembly but it is not removable.

Hello

Normally if you save your step assembly, it should not be fixed when it is re-opened afterwards. Check in the import options see pj

AC Cobra > I set my settings as you did on the picture and my step saves and opens faster and is not fixed, but, I no longer have the constraints of assembly.

Is there a parameter that I forgot to check to keep the constraints?

No, nothing or more, a step is a neutral file, so no constraint.

The best way to show your boss how it works is to either make a video  (answer from gt22) or share access to your screen (via video conference) via Microsoft teams, anydesk, teamviewer or other software and show him yourself.

For our part, we use Microdsoft Teams, with sharing of sound (headset + microphone) and screen and the possibility to let one of the 2 interlocutors have their hand on the mouse and to change along the way.

Just select all your parts in the 3D and right-click and fix.

ok thank you all for your advice, I'll send him the step so he'll have control over all the elements and I'll send him a video of the assembly kinematics.
