Hello
I want to extract the point cloud from a photo and then do a 3D extrusion under catia V5 is it possible? You bet?
Thank you

Good evening
Never heard of it!
If an image (not a photo) is vector we can extract contours to make one or more extrusions.
A point cloud is provided by a 3D scanner or a three-dimensional measuring machine, it is not made into an extrusion, but a surface that can be filled to make a solid.
Some software allows you to do the same thing from several photos.
Otherwise you can still import an image into a CATDrawing and trace the contours or use sketch tracer I think in Partdesign (I tested it before).
Hello
I have a photo not a vector image, I just wanted to spend time not to redo the design, but given your answer I think I have to redo all the CAD
Thank you
Hello
I agree with franck.ceroux
I remember doing this on sketch tracing by positioning my different images (top view, front view, left right and bottom according to their positioning) then tracing the contours "on the fly" to then make surfaces.
See an example here: http://www.lynkoa.com/forum/3d/inserer-une-image-dans-une-esquisse-catia-comme-sur-solidworks
