Hello
Is there a table with the different K factors for rolled parts?
I often use the K=0.4 factor for a 3mm thick sheet metal (which works quite well), but it doesn't work for a 5mm thickness.
I know that in folding, it depends on the vees to use, but in driving, does it depend on the radius of the rolling?
Looking forward to reading you.
Samuel
It's a good thing I have the same problem right now
For low thickness rolling I use k=0.5 factor from 0 to 3mm
then for greater thickness factor k=0.33 (thickness >3mm)
This comes down to the neutral fiber in the center of the sheet for the thin ones and then 1/3 of the thickness for the thickest ones.
For us these parameters are good for stainless steel sheet and steel after k spacer at 0.33 or 0.5.
After all, curved parts often remain modest in size (<1500mm) which limits possible errors.

Hello
for us; we only operate with a K factor of 0.5 for bending and have not encountered any problems so far. We make ferrules from Ø100 to Ø2500 and from 2 to 10mm thick.
