K-factor

Hello

I have to make U-shapes in stainless steel 1.4301 thickness 4mm with external dimensions of 60x56x60mm length 1500mm with 2 folds at 90°.

The precise flattening development is 177.33mm depending on the press brake tooling, how can I go beyond 1 with the K factor in Solidworks?

Hello

It seems that there is a problem with your develop because 60+56+60=176 for ext but to put it simply we take +- the int dimensions for a preview of the developed area, i.e. 56+48+56=160 and your precise development is 177.33? How do you find this development?

If we pass your coasts in int, it's more coherent.

Hello technique_41,

So here is a link that could help you.

But it also depends on your tools (ven and bending machine used).

So for the adjustment of the k factor in SW, right button on the sheet metal function in the construction shaft, go to the K factor and enter the new value (e.g. 0.5 I go to 0.54, and it rounds my development without a comma, without going to the 10th... )

Kind regards.
