Making a boss out of a logo with a letter in it?

Hello

I'm looking to make a boss from a logo.
My problem is that the boss doesn't want to do it directly.
I could use the "selected contours"  option in the boss function but I want to avoid it (not fast enough).

Do you have an idea or solution?

The main thing is to keep the R in the double circle.

Thank you

Hello

Why is selecting zones not fast enough? It only adds two clicks!

Hello

Yes, like Coyote, I think that selecting the zones is still the fastest.

Otherwise there is also the technique of the shared sketch and two extrusions.

Or do the two sketches separately haha. Ok I'm going out -> [ ]

In the "selected countours" option, you can right-click on your R and do "Select loop" or "select channel" to be faster than segment by segment.

With two contours inside each other, you wouldn't have any problems because there is only one solution to extrude.

In your case, you have an outline within a contour, in a contour within an contour, he can't choose why what to extrude, it can be your double the circle, the inside of the R, the outside of the R ...

I think you'll have no choice but to choose contours

Yes, like the others...

I don't understand what is long. One click per region so 2 clicks and validate.

Re

I repeat but I don't bother with the selection of contours (loops and company) in the function I go to the "selected contours" area then I select the areas (inside the R and inside the two circles) so I made a mistake three clicks.

Hello

like all my colleges; if you have several contours, there are only "selected contours"  otherwise you have to slack your sketch in half and you will also have two bosse functions...   He has no other solution...

If it is for a single operation, the solutions given above are all valid.

If it is to repeat the operation on X parts, you may need to create a library function.

Hello

You can extrude several times in a row from the same sketch, make your sketch apparent and select one by one the regions you want to extrude (here for example you could use the Extruder function from the same sketch 4 times in a row).

Kind regards

Hello

Thank you for your answer.

It's too long to select the outlines because it's part of a bigger logo where you would have to select more than 30 outlines. So not possible.

For the moment the best solution than for the moment is to do my marking in 2 parts.

I'm going to try to do a library function to see if I can do that in one operation. (thank you PhilippeB)
