I try to make a clean image of a product on sw but unfortunately I have a mirror effect that completely distorts the image.

You need to adjust the reflectivity of the scene, as well as that of your appearance.

 

Then, you have to adjust the light in order to have the best possible rendering.

 

Can you specify by attaching a printout of the result?

Ok in this case, it's the reflection of the appearance that needs to be fixed.

 

Go to the appearance pane, select the one you want to edit (here the one on the right, but I think there's only one)

 

And set the reflectivity lower.

 

See image.

 

The parameters to be set are, the spaccular quantity for the light reflection, and the reflection for the mirror effect.

It's still a little bit of work done but at least I don't have a mirror effect anymore
